(Basketball News) - The Sacramento Kings try to carry some momentum toward the All-Star break on Tuesday when they visit the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
Sacramento defeated Chicago, 113-106, at ARCO Arena on November 16 and has won 11 straight games in the series. The Bulls have not defeated the Kings since February 28, 1998 — during Michael Jordan’s last season with the team.
The Kings ended a four-game losing streak on Sunday, defeating Boston, 104-100, at the FleetCenter. Mike Bibby scored 14 of his game-high 27 points in the fourth quarter to lead the effort in Beantown.
Chris Webber posted his third triple-double in five games, as he had 14 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists for the Kings, who have won 12 of their last nine games overall.
Sacramento enters the day second in the Pacific Division — seven games behind the Phoenix Suns. The Kings are fifth in the Western Conference race overall.
The Kings, who have won four of their last six road games, will play their final game before the All-Star break on Wednesday against the New Jersey Nets at the Meadowlands. On January 25th, Sacramento crushed New Jersey, 113-93, at ARCO Arena.
Bibby has scored in double-digits in 16 straight games and registered four double-doubles in that span. The 26-year-old point guard is averaging 26.1 points and seven assists in his last 10 contests.
Webber is averaging 20 points, 12 boards and 9.4 assists in his last five contests. The Michigan product has posted averages of 21.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists this season.
