(Basketball News) - The Sacramento Kings play the middle contest of a three- game road trip, as they visit the struggling Washington Wizards at the MCI Center.

The Kings, who are in first place in the Western Conference playoff race, lead the Los Angeles Lakers by five games in the Pacific Division.

This is the first meeting of the season between the two teams. The Kings and Wizards will play again on March 28th at ARCO Arena.

In the first game of their road swing, the Kings fell to the New Jersey Nets, 94-77, on Tuesday at Continental Airlines Arena. Mike Bibby scored 17 points for the Kings, who lost for only the second time in their last six contests.

Chris Webber had 15 points and nine rebounds in the setback for Sacramento, which hit just 31-of-82 (38 percent) field-goal attempts and was 4-of-12 (33 percent) from three-point range.

Sacramento is 5-1 in Wednesday games this season.

The Kings, who have lost two straight and three of their last four as the visitor, are a respectable 19-13 on the road this season.

Sacramento has won three straight and nine of the last 10 contests in this series. The Kings have won four of their last five at Washington.
