(Basketball News) - The Sacramento Kings had their seven-game winning streak stopped on Sunday, as they were handed a 121-110 loss at the hands of Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves at ARCO Arena.
Chris Webber paced the Kings with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Bibby and Peja Stojakovic each chipped in 22 points for Sacramento. Bibby also handed out seven assists. Bobby Jackson finished with 19 points in the loss.
Doug Christie, who managed just four points in 30 minutes, was the only starter not to reach double figures for the Kings.
Two free throws by Garnett with 7 1/2 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter gave Minnesota a 95-88 lead.
The Kings then rallied and pulled within 106-104 on Jackson’s three-point play. However, the Timberwolves responded with an 11-0 burst, highlighted by seven points from Sam Cassell, to take a commanding 13-point advantage with just under one minute left.
Sacramento returns to the court on Tuesday in Memphis.
