(Basketball News) - Tim Duncan posted game-highs with 26 points and 21 rebounds, as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Toronto Raptors, 86-82, on Wednesday at Air Canada Centre.
Bruce Bowen added 13 points and Charlie Ward chipped in 12 for the Spurs, who have won six straight. San Antonio has also won six in a row on the road.
Toronto held a 58-52 advantage after three quarters and led 71-63 with 7 1/2 minutes to play.
However, the Spurs ran off the next 12 points. A three-pointer by Ward put San Antonio ahead 72-71 and a three-point play by Malik Rose capped the spurt to make it a four-point game with 3 1/2 minutes left.
Alvin Williams scored four in a 7-2 Toronto run that gave the Raptors a 78-77 edge with just 1:20 remaining. However, a trey by Hedo Turkoglu was followed by a Duncan inside basket to give the Spurs the lead for good at 82-78 with less than 30 seconds left.
Duncan has scored in double digits in 30 straight games. He is averaging 24 points and 14.5 rebounds in his last four contests.
The Spurs are off until Friday when they visit rookie phenom LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
