(Basketball News) - Malik Rose finished with a team-high 21 points and 12 rebounds off the bench to lead San Antonio to a 108-90 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday at the SBC Center.
Hedo Turkoglu scored 16 points for the Spurs, who improved to 51-8 all-time against the Clippers and won for the fourth time in five games overall.
Manu Ginobili added 14 points and eight assists. Tim Duncan, who was activated from the injured list after missing six games with a lower thigh injury, scored nine points in 15 minutes.
With the win, combined with Minnesota’s loss to Portland, the Spurs drew within two games of the Timberwolves in the Midwest Division.
San Antonio scored a season-high 69 points in the first half and never looked back in the final 24 minutes, leading 90-66 at the end of three and Los Angeles never got within 17 in the fourth.
The Spurs, who will close their brief two-game road trip against the Golden State Warriors on Friday, have won six of seven and seven of their last 10 at home and are 23-8 in their gym this season.
San Antonio has split its two matchups with the Warriors this season and has won 20 of 22 and 22 of the last 25 meetings. The Spurs have also won 12 straight on their homecourt against Golden State.
