Seattle SuperSonics Team Report - November 13 11.13.2004
|
(Basketball News) - Antonio Daniels’ hoop with 7.2 seconds left in the game lifted the Sonics to their fifth straight victory, 88-87, over the Toronto Raptors.
Ray Allen led all scorers with 29 points for the Sonics, who scored the final five points of the contest to escape with the victory. Allen has scored 20 or more points in all six games this season for Seattle, which foiled the Raptors’ effort for their best-ever start.
Daniels collected 16 points in the victory, while Rashard Lewis added 15 for Seattle.
The Sonics led 31-24 after one quarter, and extended their lead to a game-high 14 points by the intermission, at 48-34. But Toronto outscored Seattle 28-18 in the third quarter to make it a contest.
The SuperSonics split a pair of games against the Raptors last season, but have won four straight at home against Toronto.
Seattle has a day off before hosting Memphis on Sunday.
