(Basketball News) - The Seattle SuperSonics were soundly defeated by the Boston Celtics, 102-83, on Sunday at the FleetCenter.
Ray Allen posted a team-high 21 points and dished out six assists for the SuperSonics, who had their nine-game winning streak snapped. Antonio Daniels added 16 points and five assists.
Rashard Lewis delivered 12 points for the SuperSonics, who last won 10 straight in February of 1996.
Allen has scored 20 or more points in 10 of Seattle’s 11 games this season. He is averaging a team-high 25.3 points per game to go along with 4.1 rebounds and four assists.
The Sonics are off until Tuesday when they visit Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Last season, Minnesota was victorious in three of its four meetings with Seattle.
