Shaq close to returning

El Segundo, CA (Basketball News) - Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O’Neal, who has missed significant time with a strained right calf, could return to the court on Friday against Minnesota.

O’Neal has already been sidelined the past 12 games and will almost certainly miss Wednesday’s game as well versus Seattle.

In 27 games this season, O’Neal is averaging 20.0 points, 11.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per contest.
