Sixers’ Randolph undergoes successful surgery

Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - Philadelphia 76ers forward Shavlik Randolph underwent successful surgery on his fractured and dislocated left ankle and will be sidelined for 3-to-4 months.

Dr. Enyi Okereke performed the surgery late Thursday night at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Randolph was discharged from the hospital on Friday.

The injury occurred when the forward’s foot landed on that of teammate Andre Iguodala’s in practice on Thursday.

Randolph has averaged 4.5 points and 13.8 minutes in 13 games this season.
