The SuperSonics play the third of a four-game road trip today. Seattle fell to the Washington Wizards, 99-84, on Saturday at the MCI Center.
Ray Allen scored 19 points to lead Seattle, which lost its fourth in a row after a three-game winning streak. The Sonics lost for only the third time in 14 trips to Washington and for just the sixth time in the last 29 meetings with the Wizards.
Seattle, which has lost four in a row on the road, is 8-10 as the visitor this season.
On Saturday, the 76ers were defeated by the Memphis Grizzlies, 91-87, at the Wachovia Center. Iverson paced the 76ers with a game-high 34 points, as he hit 12-of-27 from the field in the Sixers’ third loss in four tries. Glenn Robinson had 20 points and Samuel Dalembert netted 13 in a losing cause.
"Lack of ball movement and lack of sharing the ball really hurt us in the second half," Sixers coach Randy Ayers said after Saturday’s loss. "It was just lack of execution."
The 76ers, who have lost five of their last nine at home, are 10-9 as the host this season.
In 2002-03, the teams split a pair of games as each club took home a win on the road.
Overall, Seattle has won three of the last five meetings with the 76ers. The Sonics have won two straight after losing their last two at Philadelphia. Seattle has won seven of its last nine as the visitor in the City of Brotherly Love.
