Spurs activate Ginobili from injured list

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - San Antonio activated guard Manu Ginobili from the injured list Wednesday and he started in the Spurs’ 100-93 loss to Minnesota.

Ginobili, who had missed the last five games due to a sprained lower back, scored 14 points in 30 minutes. He first suffered the injury during a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on January 3.

Coming into Wednesday night’s game, Ginobili was averaging 13.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest.

Meanwhile, to make room on the active roster the Spurs placed guard Jason Hart on the injured list with left patella tendinitis.
