Spurs re-sign C Oberto

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs re-signed center Fabricio Oberto on Wednesday. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Oberto averaged 4.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in 79 games for San Antonio this season, including 33 starts. In a November 8th game against Phoenix, the 6- foot-10, 245-pound center set a franchise record by hitting 11-of-11 field goals for a career-high 22 points.

In 20 playoff games for the NBA champion Spurs, Oberto averaged 5.6 points and 4.9 assists while shooting .625 (50-80) from the field.

Signed by San Antonio in August 2005, Oberto has averaged 3.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in two seasons with the Spurs.
