Suns activate Barbosa, release Parker

Phoenix, AZ (Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns activated guard Leandro Barbosa from the injured list Friday and released guard William "Smush" Parker from his second 10-day contract.

Barbosa is averaging 5.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 30 games this season. He was placed on the injured list January 19, one day after spraining his left ankle by stepping on teammate Steve Nash’s foot in practice.

Parker, who signed two 10-day contracts with Phoenix, averaged 3.0 points in five games with the team. He originally signed with the Suns on January 19.
