Where the wild things are: Grizzlies host Bucks

04.7.2006

(Basketball News) - The Milwaukee Bucks try to put a two-game losing streak to rest tonight when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.

Milwaukee suffered a 108-105 loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday at the TD Waterhouse Centre.

T.J. Ford scored a career-high 34 points and added 11 assists, while Michael Redd chipped in 25 points for the Bucks, who have lost three of their last four games.

Milwaukee leads Indiana by just a half game for the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The Bucks will conclude a three-game road trip in Memphis and have lost their last five games away from the Bradley Center.

The Bucks are 14-24 on the road this season.

Memphis is currently seeded No. 6 in the Western Conference playoff race and has won two straight after a three-game slide.

In their last game on Tuesday, the Grizzlies notched a 100-75 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Chucky Atkins netted a game-high 22 points and dished out five assists to lead the Grizzlies at FedEx Forum.

Pau Gasol registered 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Grizzlies, who are 1 1/2 games behind the fifth-place Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference.

Jake Tsakalidis recorded 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while Bobby Jackson contributed 10 points for Memphis.

The Grizzlies will conclude a three-game homestand against Milwaukee and have won eight of their last nine games as the host. They are 27-11 at home in 2005-06.

Milwaukee won the first meeting of the season with Memphis by an 88-78 score on February 4. The Grizzlies, though, have won five of the last seven meetings.

The Bucks have lost three straight and four of their last five at the Grizzlies.
