New Jersey defeated Milwaukee on Wednesday and made it two straight wins with Friday’s victory over Indiana. Vince Carter currently leads the Nets in scoring with 28.8 points per contest, while Nenad Krstic is second with 16.8 points a game.
Before scoring 18 points in a win over the Pacers, Krstic scored 20 or more points in three straight games for the first time in his career. Krstic pulled a back muscle in the third quarter on Friday, but is expected to play on Saturday night against Portland.
Nets small forward Richard Jefferson has missed the last four games with a sprained ankle and a timetable for his return is unknown. Jefferson is averaging 16.5 points over four games this season.
After New Jersey hosts the Trail Blazers on Saturday, it will hit the road for four games at Seattle, Portland, Phoenix and the Los Angeles Lakers.
