On Wednesday, Vince Carter poured in 31 points and dished out 10 assists, as the Nets defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 101-90, at the Wachovia Center.
Carter also grabbed eight rebounds and Richard Jefferson hit the glass with 16 boards to go along with 20 points in the victory, New Jersey’s second straight.
Nenad Krstic scored 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds while Clifford Robinson came off the bench to tally 15 points for the Nets. Jason Kidd did a little bit of everything with nine points, nine assists and seven rebounds in the win.
New Jersey, which will be concluding a two-game road trip, is 10-9 away from home this season.
Boston, meanwhile, comes in on a winning note after Paul Pierce headlined a balanced attack with 25 points and eight rebounds to lead the Celtics to a 103-96 comeback victory over Minnesota at home on Wednesday.
Al Jefferson added 18 points and pulled down eight boards off the bench for Boston, which won for just the second time in its past seven outings. Kendrick Perkins chipped in with a career-high 17 points while Delonte West had 14 in the win.
The Celtics, who play four of their next five at home, are 11-8 in their arena this season.
New Jersey took three of four from Boston last season and has won eight of 11 and nine of the past 16 meetings. The Nets have also won three of five in Beantown.
