=== New Jersey Nets Team Report - January 26 ===

(Basketball News) - Richard Jefferson scored 25 points, as the New Jersey Nets snapped their five-game losing streak by beating the Boston Celtics, 110-91, on Sunday in a battle of Atlantic Division powers at the Meadowlands.

Kenyon Martin added 20 points and 15 rebounds, while Lucious Harris pitched in with 14 points for New Jersey. Kerry Kittles and Jason Collins each added 12 points in the triumph. Jason Kidd managed only 10 points on 2-of-12 shooting, but did dish out 11 assists for the victors.

The Nets, who had a commanding lead late in the third quarter, finished the contest without head coach Byron Scott, who was ejected with 1:44 left in the stanza.

It appeared that Scott was displeased with a call that was whistled on forward Aaron Williams. Referee Luis Grillo didn’t hesitate to toss Scott. New Jersey still kept its composure, as it held a commanding 83-64 heading into the fourth quarter and took home a 19-point win.

The Nets were able to win despite turning the ball over 29 times against the Celtics.

In New Jersey’s last two games, Martin is averaging 18 points, 11.5 assists and two steals, while Jefferson has averaged 19.5 points, eight boards and two steals.

New Jersey is off until Tuesday when it starts a four-game road trip in Philadelphia against Allen Iverson and the 76ers.
