(Basketball News) - The New Orleans Hornets target their third consecutive win this evening when they start a brief two-game road trip against the Memphis Grizzlies at The Pyramid.
On Friday, Jamal Mashburn poured in a game-high 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead New Orleans to an 89-77 victory over Indiana at the New Orleans Arena.
Jamaal Magloire posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards in the win for the Hornets, while Baron Davis and P.J. Brown added 18 and 17 points, respectively.
New Orleans has won four of its last six games, and is one game ahead of Milwaukee for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
Mashburn has topped the 20-point mark in his last six games and has averaged 20.6 points-per-game since returning from a right knee injury.
The Hornets, who will close their trip against the Wizards on Monday, has lost four of five and seven of their last nine on the road and is 13-15 away from home this season.
New Orleans defeated the Grizzlies earlier in the year and has won four of the last six meetings. The Hornets are also 5-2 all-time as the visitor in this series.
