Nowitzki, Terry lift Mavs past Wizards 03.17.2006

Nowitzki added 13 rebounds and shot 10-of-19 from the field for the Mavs, who have won three straight and six of their last seven games. Terry finished 10- of-16 shooting, including 3-of-6 from three-point range.
Jerry Stackhouse ended with 17 points and Marquis Daniels had 15 for Dallas, which also improved to 10-3 in its last 13 road games.
Gilbert Arenas had 26 points to lead Washington, which had a three-game win streak halted. Antawn Jamison added 21 points and nine boards while Caron Butler had 18 points for the Wizards, who have dropped five in a row against Dallas.
Up by just two, 52-50, at halftime, the Mavs began to pad the lead in the third quarter. Dallas scored the first seven points of the second half, capped by a Terry three-pointer, to grab a nine-point lead. Later, Terry drained another shot from behind the arc to extend to a 10-point advantage, 67-57, with just over 5 1/2 minutes elapsed in the frame.
Stackhouse later connected on a bucket and Nowitzki also hit to increase the advantage to 73-59 with just over four minutes left in the quarter. Dallas cruised into the fourth with an 81-69 cushion.
The Mavs increased their lead to as many as 17 points in the fourth, when Stackhouse hit a pair of free throws to cap an 11-2 run for a 92-75 advantage with 7 1/2 minutes left.
Washington never got within single digits the rest of the way.
Antonio Daniels had 17 points for the Wizards, who led 27-24 after one quarter.
