Denver, CO (Basketball News) - Denver Nuggets point guard Earl Boykins fractured his hand in Wednesday night’s win over the Indiana Pacers and will be out 4-5 weeks.
Boykins, who broke the third and fourth metacarpals in his left hand during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game, met with Dr. Steve Traina on Thursday. It was concluded that Boykins did not need surgery and he was placed in a cast.
Boykins was placed on the inactive list and guard/forward Julius Hodge was called up from the D-league and activated.
Boykins has played in 60 games for Denver thus far this season, averaging a career best 12.6 points per game.
