=== Nuggets continue to move, re-sign Camby ===

Denver, CO (Basketball News) - One day after trading for forward Kenyon Martin, the Denver Nuggets officially re-signed center Marcus Camby to a multi-year contract on Friday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

"Marcus has been a big part of our success here," said Denver general manager Kiki Vandeweghe. "We are extremely excited that he is going to be a big part of our future."

Camby averaged 8.6 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in a career-high 72 games for the Nuggets last season. The 6-foot-11, 235-pound center ranked fifth in the NBA in blocked shots and 10th in rebounding.

In five playoff games, Camby averaged 12.6 points, 11.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.

The eight-year veteran has career averages 10.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.68 blocks.

He was acquired by the Nuggets from the New York Knicks on June 26, 2002 along with the draft rights to Nene in exchange for Antonio McDyess, the draft rights to Frank Williams and a future second-round draft choice.
