Nuggets’ Martin to have knee surgery 11.9.2006

Martin missed Wednesday’s tilt against the Knicks — a 109-107 loss — after an MRI before the game revealed loose bodies in his right knee that will require surgery to clean out.
No date has been set for the arthroscopic procedure and there is no timetable yet for Martin’s return. The Cincinnati product is averaging 9.5 points and 10 rebounds per game in two games so far this season.
In his seven-year career, which also includes a four-year stint with the New Jersey Nets, Martin is averaging 14.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in 411 career contests.
