The Magic have been solid since a six-game losing streak, and on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz, Jameer Nelson had 25 points and nine assists as Orlando edged Utah in overtime, 114-108, at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Hedo Turkoglu scored 20 points while Tony Battie posted 19 points and seven rebounds for Orlando. Dwight Howard had a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards in the win.
After Friday’s game with Boston, the Magic will hit the road for two games at Atlanta and Charlotte. Orlando is 17-14 as the host this season.
Friday’s game will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between Orlando and Boston.
The Magic are 2-1 after posting wins on November 28 in Boston and February 4 in Orlando. Boston countered with a home victory on February 12.
The Celtics have won five of the last seven meetings, but have dropped four of six in Orlando.
