=== Phoenix Suns Team Report - February 8 ===

(Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns visit Pacific Division rival Sacramento on Tuesday at ARCO Arena. The Suns hold a five-game lead over the Kings for the lead in the Pacific.

This is the second meeting of the season between the clubs this season. On November 13th, Sacramento edged the Suns, 113-111, at America West Arena. The teams will play twice more this season, as the Suns will host Sacramento on April 16th, while the Kings will welcome Phoenix to ARCO Arena on April 20th.

The home team has won eight of 10 and 11 of the last 14 meetings in this series. The Kings have won four of their last five contests with the Suns, who have lost eight straight at Sacramento.

The last time the Suns picked up a victory on the road against Sacramento was on April 9, 2000.

Phoenix enters Tuesday’s game on a two-game winning streak. Amare Stoudemire had 32 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Suns to a 114-106 victory over the New York Knicks on Saturday at America West Arena. Steve Nash added 26 points and 14 assists for Phoenix, which has won seven of its last eight games overall.

Earlier Tuesday, Shawn Marion, Nash and Stoudemire were named to the Western Conference All-Star team as reserves. Phoenix is the only team in the league to have three players in the game. The All-Star Game will be played on February 20th at the Pepsi Center.

Stoudemire has scored more than 22 points in nine straight games, while Nash has registered double-digits in assists in five straight contests.

The Suns are an impressive 20-7 as the visitor this season. Phoenix has won five of its last six on the road.
