(Basketball News) - Joe Johnson shot 12-of-16 from the field and scored a season-high 26 points to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 104-93 win over Golden State on Friday at America West Arena.
Shawn Marion scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting and pulled down nine rebounds, as the Suns won their second straight game. Amare Stoudemire poured in 21, as Phoenix had three players score 20-plus points in a game for the second night in a row.
"It’s a good feeling to get back-to-back wins and now we need to move forward," Marion said. "We came out tonight, and stopped some of their shots, and got some of ours to fall."
The Suns shot 56-percent from the field, including a blistering 75-percent from behind the arc. Phoenix also outrebounded an opponent for the first time in the last nine contests, as the Suns held a 38-29 advantage over Golden State.
Stoudemire scored 22, Marion added 21 and Johnson chipped in 20 in Phoenix’s win over Portland Friday night
Phoenix is off until Sunday when it hosts the Portland Trail Blazers.
