(Basketball News) - Phoenix posted an impressive 123-111 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday evening.
Amare Stoudemire scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds to pace the Suns to the win. Joe Johnson tallied 21 points and handed out six assists for the Suns, who halted a two-game losing streak. Phoenix also won for the first time in six home outings, but is still 15-21 on its home floor.
The Suns shot 54 percent from the floor and won the battle on the glass, 40-35. Phoenix hit 10-of-18 (.556) from three-point range in the contest. The Suns were 27-of-32 from the charity stripe.
During halftime, Charles Barkley was inducted into the Phoenix Suns’ Ring of Honor. Barkley played in Phoenix from 1992-1996 after being traded by Philadelphia. Barkley was the 10th player inducted into the Suns’ Ring of Honor and also will become the eighth player to have his number retired by two teams.
The Suns have still won 12 of 14 and 23 of the last 26 meetings between the teams.
Phoenix has a couple days off before heading to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers at Gund Arena.
