Phoenix will play 10 of its final 14 games on the road. The Suns final four home games of the regular season are against the Clippers, Lakers, Dallas and the Hornets.
On Monday, the Suns begin a five-game road trip as they visit the red-hot New Jersey Nets at Continental Airlines Arena. It is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 25th, Nash poured in 27 points and Phoenix defeated New Jersey, 92-81, on its homecourt. Phoenix has won four in a row in this series, but has lost six of its last eight at New Jersey.
Phoenix is on a two-game winning streak. On Saturday, Shawn Marion and Steve Nash tallied 21 points apiece as the Suns pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Denver Nuggets, 107-96, at US Airways Center. Nash also contributed six assists and six rebounds, while Marion pulled down 13 rebounds.
Boris Diaw contributed 13 points, eight boards and tied a career-high with 13 assists in the victory over Denver for the Suns. Amare Stoudemire ended with six points and five boards in his second game back since undergoing surgery on October 11, 2005 to repair a joint surface defect in his left knee.
The Suns have lost two in a row away from home and are 19-12 on the road this season. They will also visit Milwaukee, Indiana, Toronto and Detroit on the current swing.
Marion leads the Suns in scoring (21.5 ppg) and rebounding (12.2 rpg). He has recorded a double-double in nine of his last 11 outings. The 6-7 All-Star has scored in double-digits in all 68 of the Suns’ games this season.
