Portland head coach Cheeks receives fine

New York, NY (Basketball News) - Portland Trail Blazers head coach Maurice Cheeks was fined $7,500 by the league on Monday for his behavior during this past Friday’s game against Utah.

Cheeks failed to leave the court in a timely manner following the Trail Blazers’ 92-87 setback to the Jazz at the Delta Center.

NBA senior vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson made the announcement.
