On Tuesday, The Dallas Mavericks try to get back on the winning track when they welcome the lowly Trail Blazers to American Airlines Center. It is the first of a home-and-home set. The Trail Blazers are scheduled to host Dallas on Thursday at the Rose Garden.
The Mavericks, who have already defeated the Trail Blazers twice this season, have won eight straight and nine of the last 10 meetings in this series. Portland has lost five in a row at Dallas.
Portland attempts to put the brakes on a two-game losing streak against Dallas. On Sunday, Yao Ming dropped in 32 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Houston Rockets to an easy 102-84 win over the Trail Blazers at the Toyota Center.
Steve Blake poured in 23 points in the loss to Houston for the Blazers, who have dropped 12 of their last 14 games overall. Zach Randolph ended with 15 points and eight rebounds in defeat.
The Trail Blazers are a brutal 6-24 on the road this season. They have lost five in a row as the visitor.
Randolph leads the Blazers in scoring (17.9 ppg) and rebounding (8.5 rpg), while Blake has dished out a team-best 4.4 assists per game.
Portland is scheduled to play 12 of its final 23 games this season at the Rose Garden.
