=== Portland Trail Blazers Team Report - December 5 ===

(Basketball News) - The Portland Trail Blazers will try to get back on the winning track tonight when they battle the Phoenix Suns at the Rose Garden.

The Blazers had a two-game winning streak stopped with Saturday night’s loss to the Seattle SuperSonics. Rashard Lewis and Vladimir Radmanovic each scored 20 points to lead Seattle to the victory at KeyArena.

Zack Randolph had 16 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out to lead Portland. Shareef Abdul-Rahim added 14 points and nine boards, as the Blazers had six players score in double figures.

In the fourth, Portland drew within 83-78 on a Nick Van Exel three-pointer 2:48 into the stanza. However, an 11-2 run by Seattle over the next six minutes put the game out of reach. Allen had six points during the run, capping it with a free throw at the 3:53 mark.

Van Exel ended with 12 points, Damon Stoudamire recorded 11 and seven assists, and Derrek Anderson and Darius Miles added 10 points each.

Tonight’s game is the first meeting of the season between the Suns and Blazers. Last season, the teams split four games with each team winning one at home and one on the road. Portland has won three of the last five meetings, but Phoenix has picked up wins in five of the last eight matchups. The Suns have dropped three of their last five games at the Rose Garden.
