(Basketball News) - Portland came up short in overtime Tuesday night, falling 103-96 to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center.
Damon Stoudamire scored a team-high 24 points for the Trail Blazers, who suffered their second straight loss and sixth in seven games. Derek Anderson added 22 in the defeat.
Portland held a four-point lead late in the fourth stanza, but couldn’t hold on to the lead. In overtime, the Clippers ended the game with a 10-2 run, including seven straight points, to rally from a 94-93 hole to pick up the victory.
Zach Randolph finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds for Portland, which fell to 2-15 on the road. Rasheed Wallace missed yet another game due to a sprained ankle.
The Blazers have a day off before returning to the court Thursday against Phoenix at the Rose Garden.
