(Basketball News) - The Portland Trail Blazers were soundly defeated by the Memphis Grizzlies, 101-82, on Wednesday at the Rose Garden.
Zach Randolph compiled 16 points and seven boards for the Trail Blazers, who suffered their fourth loss in five outings. Reserve Travis Outlaw delivered a career-high 11 points in 10 minutes long after the outcome had been decided.
Geno Carlisle, a 28-year-old rookie free agent signed the Blazers this week, made his NBA debut and played the final two minutes.
Randolph has scored in double-digits in all seven of Portland’s games this season. He leads the team in scoring (20.1 ppg) and rebounding (11.3 rpg).
Portland is off until Friday when it hosts Michael Redd and the Milwaukee Bucks. Last season, the clubs split a pair of contests.
