Randolph, who started 80 of the 81 games in which he appeared this season, was the Trail Blazers’ leading scorer, rebounder and shooter. He averaged a double-double with 20.1 points and 10.5 rebounds, more than doubling his output from last season.
In his third NBA season, Randolph was also the league’s 17th best shooter at 48.5 percent.
He received a total of 379 points with 59 first-pace votes from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters, easily besting Cleveland Cavaliers forward Carlos Boozer, who garnered 166 points and 12 first place votes for second place.
Memphis forward James Posey was third with 137 points and 17 first place votes.
Players were awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for each second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote received.
Gilbert Arenas won the award last year with Golden State.
