Raptors’ Carter diagnosed with strained Achilles’ tendon

Carter sustained the injury during the third quarter of Wednesday’s game against Detroit while driving the baseline. He fell to the court and walked to the locker room with assistance from his teammates.

The 27-year-old Carter will continue rehabilitation and daily evaluation under the supervision of the club’s medical staff. He will not be in uniform for games on Friday versus Denver and Sunday against Miami.

In 20 contests this season, Carter is averaging 15.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
