=== Sacramento Kings Team Report - December 27 ===

(Basketball News) - The Kings dropped a disappointing 98-94 decision to Golden State Warriors on Sunday night at ARCO Arena.

Chris Webber had 28 points and seven boards for the Kings, who have dropped two in a row and three of five. Peja Stojakovic tallied 18 points and Mike Bibby added 14. Doug Christie and Maurice Evans chipped in 13 points in the victory.

Golden State was down 46-36 after one half of play and trailed 56-45 five minutes into the third when they started to rally. Jason Richardson and Cliff Robinson sparked an 11-0 run that tied the game at 56-56 with 4:50 to play until the fourth.

Later on, five straight points by the Warriors gave the club a 65-60 edge with 2:59 left and the team held a 73-70 edge going into the final frame.

Golden State then opened the fourth with a 16-3 burst to extend to an 89-73 lead with 4:54 remaining. Eduardo Najera had six points during the run, capping it with a jumper for a 16-point lead.

Sacramento fought back to within 91-88 when Webber hit only one of two free throws with 52 seconds left. However, on Golden State’s ensuing possession, Richardson nailed a long jumper to increase the lead to 93-88.

Then, after Stojakovic missed the second of two free throws, Richardson went to the line with 22 seconds remaining and hit both tries to bring the advantage to 95-89.

With 11 seconds on the clock, Speedy Claxton hit two free throws to make it a 97-91 lead and secure the win.

Sacramento has the next four days off before heading to Utah to face the Jazz on Friday.
