(Basketball News) - Sacramento registered a 99-95 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night at ARCO Arena.
Chris Webber had 36 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to pace the Kings to the win. Peja Stojakovic added 24 points for the Kings, who are winners of three straight and nine of 13. Cuttino Mobley made his debut for Sacramento after being acquired from the Magic. He had 13 points and tied a career high with four blocks.
A Bobby Simmons hoop gave the Clippers a 67-66 lead with three minutes left in the third quarter. But Mobley had seven points as the Kings ended the stanza on an 11-2 run to take a 77-69 advantage into the final 12 minutes.
A Kerry Kittles three-pointer pulled the Clippers within 83-82 with 6:15 remaining. But the Kings held on the rest of the way to register the victory.
Kings center Greg Ostertag (teeth) played just five minutes. The Kings, who are 15-4 at home this season, closed out a three-game homestand.
Sacramento has won six straight and 11 of the last 12 meetings in this series. The Kings have won 13 in a row and 17 of their last 18 home tilts versus the Clippers.
The Kings have a day to rest before finishing up their home-and-home with the Clippers on Monday afternoon.
