(Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs visit the sizzling Detroit Pistons today for an afternoon contest at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
San Antonio comes into today’s game fresh off a win on Sunday that snapped a three-game losing streak. Tony Parker scored 20 points in the first half and the Spurs rolled to a 109-92 win over the Boston Celtics at the FleetCenter.
Rasho Nesterovic stepped up with a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds for San Antonio, which halted a three-game losing streak. Tim Duncan had 15 points and Charlie Ward added 10 off the bench in the win — the Spurs’ 12th straight versus the Celtics.
"We combined 48 minutes of good defense with making some shots," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said. "That certainly makes things easy for us."
The Spurs made 53 percent of their attempts from the field and won the rebounding battle, 50-34.
With the win, the Spurs have been victorious in 18 of their last 22 contests.
Parker has scored in double digits in four straight games, while Duncan is averaging just 15.5 points and eight rebounds over the last two contests.
