(Basketball News) - The Spurs recorded a 103-87 win over the Boston Celtics at the SBC Center Saturday night.
Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili each netted 26 points to lead the Spurs in the contest. Duncan also had 15 rebounds as the Spurs won for the fourth time in six games. Tony Parker added 15 points and handed out five assists in the win.
Duncan and Ginobili played just 32 and 24 minutes respectively. Duncan shot 10-of-13 while Ginobili was 7-of-10 while making good on all three of his attempts from long range.
Boston used a 7-2 rally to get as close as nine, 90-81, with 5:42 remaining but the Spurs answered with 11 straight points to finish off the Celtics.
San Antonio outrebounded the Celtics by a 48-31 margin and outscored Boston in the paint, 46-32.
The Spurs reside fourth in the West, a half-game behind the third place Los Angeles Lakers. San Antonio leads the fifth place Dallas Mavericks by 2 1/2 contests.
San Antonio has the next two days off before returning to the court against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center. The Spurs are 1 1/2 games back of the Central Division-leading T’Wolves.
