=== San Antonio Spurs Team Report - November 23 ===

(Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs lost to the Memphis Grizzlies, 93-90, on Monday at FedExForum.

Tim Duncan finished with 26 points and nine boards, but missed a pair of baskets down the stretch, as the Spurs dropped its second straight following a six-game win streak. Tony Parker added 18 points for San Antonio, which has dropped three in a row to Memphis dating back to last season.

Trailing 65-59 with five minutes left in the third quarter, the Grizzlies ended the stanza on a 12-3 run that gave them a 71-68 lead heading into the fourth. A pair of Earl Watson free throws with 2:55 remaining tied the game and Dahntay Jones’ dunk just over a minute later staked Memphis to the lead.

The Grizzlies increased their lead to 75-68 early in the fourth, as Shane Battier’s layup 1 1/2 minutes into the quarter capped a 16-3 burst that bridged the final two quarters.

San Antonio later came back to tie the contest at 85-85 on a Duncan basket with 1 1/2 remaining. However, Bonzi Wells’ three-pointer with 47 seconds left put the Grizzlies ahead, 90-87. After Duncan hit only one-of-two from the line, Lorenzen Wright hit a short jumper with 22 ticks left and two seconds on the shot clock.

Then, with 11 seconds remaining, Wright hit one-of-two from the line and Duncan missed a three-pointer with four seconds left that would have tied the game.

Duncan has recorded a double-double in nine of San Antonio’s 11 games this season.

The Spurs are off until Wednesday when they host the Dallas Mavericks. Last season, Dallas won three of its four contests with the Spurs.
