(Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs fell to the Seattle SuperSonics, 113-94, on Sunday at KeyArena.
Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili each tallied 21 points for the Spurs, who suffered their first loss of the season (2-1). San Antonio only shot 43 percent from the field and turned the ball over 20 times in the loss.
All-Star Tim Duncan finished with 17 points and 10 boards in Sunday’s loss for the Spurs. San Antonio’s Brent Barry, who left Seattle and signed with the Spurs as a free agent in the offseason, netted eight points against his former team. Barry had spent five seasons with the SuperSonics.
Duncan has averaged 24.3 points and 13.3 boards in San Antonio’s first three contests, while Parker has registered 15.7 points and 5.3 assists per game.
The Spurs return home for a two-game stand. San Antonio will host the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday and the Miami Heat on Friday.Last season, the Spurs split four games with the Warriors and they were 2-0 against the Heat.
