Sixers extend qualifying offers to Korver, Dalembert, Green

06.28.2005

Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - The Philadelphia 76ers extended qualifying offers to forward Kyle Korver, center Samuel Dalembert and guard Willie Green on Tuesday, showing a commitment to their nucleus of young talent.

The move makes the three players restricted free agents, giving Philadelphia the right to match contract offers from any other team.

Korver played in all 82 regular season games last year and averaged 11.5 points and 4.6 rebounds. He also set the Sixers’ single-season record with 226 three-pointers.

Dalembert, who the Sixers selected 26th overall in the 2001 NBA Draft, averaged 8.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.68 blocks in 72 games last season.

Green played in 57 games in his second season in 2004-05 and averaged 7.7 points and 2.3 boards.
