Something is missing in Sacramento

12.19.2005

(Basketball News) - Sacramento owns a 10-14 record and sits in last place in the Pacific Division. The Kings plays the finale of a three-game road trip on Monday, as they visits the Charlotte Bobcats.

It is the second and final meeting of the season between the Kings and Bobcats. On November 29th, Mike Bibby scored 25 points and Brad Miller finished with 20 points and nine rebounds, as Sacramento pounded Charlotte, 110-92, at ARCO Arena.

Sacramento, which has won two of three all-time from the Bobcats, is 0-2 on its current trip. On Saturday, Michael Finley buried a wide open 20-foot jumper with just 2.5 seconds remaining to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 90-89 victory over the Kings at the SBC Center.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 25 points in Friday’s loss to lead the Kings, who lost their fourth consecutive game in San Antonio. Mike Bibby netted 21 and dished out six assists for Sacramento, while Peja Stojakovic had 13 points and Brad Miller ended with 13 points and 13 boards.

The Kings are just 3-7 on the road this season. After Monday’s game, they return home for a pair of games against Dallas and Portland. Sacramento will be playing both the Mavericks and Trail Blazers for the first time in the 2005-06 campaign.

Bibby has scored in double-digits in 22 straight games and is averaging 18.5 points and 5.6 assists in his last 10 contests, while Miller has recorded four double-doubles this season and leads the team in assists (6.1 apg).

Sacramento is 7-13 when it surrenders 90 or more points this season. The Kings are 9-2 when they score more than 100 points.
