=== Sonics attempt to halt two-game slide tonight ===

Seattle, WA (Basketball News) - The Seattle SuperSonics try to halt a two- game losing streak tonight when they welcome Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards to KeyArena.

The SuperSonics lost a tough game on Friday, falling to the Memphis Grizzlies, 98-97, in front of their home crowd.

Ronald Murray led the Sonics with 26 points and Vladimir Radmanovic finished with 23 points and eight rebounds. Brent Barry filled up the stat sheet with seven points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, as the Sonics lost their third in four games.

Seattle is 2-3 as the host this season.

The Wizards come into tonight’s game after losing Friday in Denver to the Nuggets, 108-87.

Arenas poured in 27 points as the Wizards lost for the fifth time in their last seven contests. Washington had won its previous two games following a four-game skid.

Larry Hughes added 12 points, while Etan Thomas and Juan Dixon each had 11 in the losing effort.

Christian Laettner played for the first time in Washington’s last four games due to a sore back. He finished with six points and five rebounds in 19 minutes.

By losing to the Nuggets, Washington fell to 2-4 on the road.

In 2002-03, the teams split two contests as each club won on the road.

Overall, the road team has won five straight games in this series. Washington has won tow of the last three, while Seattle has been victorious in six of eight and seven of the last 10 meetings.
