Spurs continue road trip in Seattle 03.26.2006

The Spurs, seeded No. 1 in the Western Conference, dropped the opener on Wednesday at Denver, but rebounded with Friday’s win against Portland.
Brent Barry scored a season-high 23 points in a 98-79 triumph at the Rose Garden. Manu Ginobili scored 16 points and Tony Parker added 14 points for the Spurs, who are one game ahead of the Dallas Mavericks for the lead in the Southwest Division.
Tim Duncan posted just six points and seven rebounds for San Antonio, which has now won six of its last seven.
San Antonio is 5-2 in its last seven road games and will close out the trip against the Clippers and Lakers at the Staples Center. The Spurs are also 24-11 away from the AT&T Center this season.
Seattle, meanwhile, has alternated wins and losses in its last six games.
On Friday, the Sonics were handed a 117-104 loss by the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. Luke Ridnour scored 18 points, grabbed nine boards and handed out eight assists for Seattle, which has lost three of its last five games.
Robert Swift donated 17 points and 11 boards in defeat, while Ray Allen scored just 14 points on 6-of-19 from the floor.
Now the Sonics are home where they have won three of their last four games and own a 17-17 mark.
San Antonio leads the season series 1-0 after posting a 103-78 win on February 21 at the AT&T Center. Tony Parker tallied 30 points and Tim Duncan recorded 13 points and 16 rebounds for the Spurs.
After Sunday’s game, the Spurs will host Seattle on April 11.
San Antonio has won three straight and 10 of the last 12 meetings with Seattle, which has lost four of its last five at the Spurs.
