Spurs sign Parker to long-term deal 11.2.2004

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs and point guard Tony Parker agreed Monday to a long-term contract extension. The Spurs are expected to announce the deal at a Tuesday press conference.
Parker averaged 14.6 points and 5.5 assists last season. A three-year veteran, Parker has averaged 13.1 points and 5.0 assists in 234 career games and helped lead the Spurs to the NBA championship in 2002-03.
Parker, born in Belgium, was named to the All-Rookie First Team in 2002, becoming the first foreign-born guard to earn the honor.
