Suns preparing for postseason

(Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns (50-26) have won their second straight Pacific Division crown and will be the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

Phoenix is scheduled to play four of its final six games on the road. It will visit Sacramento, Golden State, the Lakers and Portland. The Suns last two home games of the regular season are against Dallas and the Hornets.

On Tuesday. the Kings attempt to extend their winning streak to four games when they welcome the Suns to ARCO Arena. It is the fourth and final meeting of the campaign between the clubs. The teams split a pair of contests at Phoenix, while the Kings defeated the Suns, 119-90, on January 17th at ARCO Arena.

Phoenix has lost two straight and 10 of its last 11 at Sacramento.

The Suns try to get back on the winning track against the Kings. On Sunday, Ray Allen scored 30 points, which included the game-winning three-pointer with 24 seconds remaining, as Seattle came from behind to defeat Phoenix, 116-114, at KeyArena.

Raja Bell ended with 23 points in the loss to Seattle for the Suns, while Shawn Marion and Boris Diaw both netted 22 for Phoenix, which has dropped three of its last four games overall. Diaw also pulled down 12 rebounds.

Phoenix is 21-16 on the road this season. The Suns have dropped two in a row as the visitor.
