Suns try to make it 12 straight wins against Portland 01.19.2007

Reigning MVP Steve Nash finished with 21 points and 14 assists, as the Suns stretched their winning streak to 11 games by rallying from a 15-point deficit in the second quarter for a 100-91 triumph over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday at the Toyota Center.
Leandro Barbosa scored nine of his 20 points during a huge second-quarter run for the Suns, who won a franchise-record 15 in a row earlier this season from November 20th - December 19th. Amare Stoudemire had 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Shawn Marion added 14 points and 14 boards in the win over Houston for Phoenix, which has won 29 of its last 32 games overall.
Phoenix is 17-3 at home this season. The Suns are scheduled to host Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday at US Airways Center.
Portland tries to make it two wins in a row this evening. Zach Randolph scored 26 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, as the Trail Blazers rolled to a 94-76 victory over the road-weary Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday at the Rose Garden.
Rookie Brandon Roy added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Cleveland for the Trail Blazers, who wrapped up a three-game homestand at 2-1 . LaMarcus Aldridge had 14 points off the bench, while Sergio Rodriguez added nine assists.
Guard Jarrett Jack, who suffered a concussion in a car accident last Friday., did not play against Cleveland and has missed three straight games. The Georgia Tech product is averaging 12.5 points and a team-best 5.6 assists per game. Jack is questionable for tonight’s game.
The Trail Blazers are 7-12 on the road this season. They return home to host the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday at the Rose Garden.
Phoenix has won a pair of contests over the Trail Blazers this season. The teams will meet for the fourth and final time of the campaign on February 6th at the Rose Garden.
Portland has lost five straight and eight of its last nine at Phoenix. The Suns have won four in a row in this series.
