Timberwolves take on Bulls in Windy City 02.28.2006

The Timberwolves have won just three of 12 games so far this month, but will try to close out February with back-to-back wins.
On Sunday, Ricky Davis led the Timberwolves with a season-high 35 points in a 105-99 win over Memphis at the Target Center. Davis got hot in the fourth quarter, netting 15 of the team’s 24 points in the final frame.
Minnesota, though, is 5-10 since acquiring Davis from Boston in January.
Kevin Garnett had 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists before being ejected in the third quarter for throwing the ball in the crowd. He accidentally hit a fan in the face after being called for an offensive foul.
Garnett was then fined $5,000 by the NBA for his actions.
Minnesota, which ended a two-game losing streak and won for just the third time in its last 12 contests, sports an 8-18 road mark this season. The Timberwolves are 1-5 in their last six games away from the Target Center.
The Timberwolves, currently third in the Northwest Division, are still fighting for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Meanwhile, the Bulls have dropped two in a row and have won only four times in 11 games during the month of February.
The Bulls, who are basement dwellers in the Central Division, suffered a 108-102 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. Chris Duhon recorded 17 points for the Bulls, who have lost eight of their past 12 games. Luol Deng and Ben Gordon each tallied 15 points in the loss.
Chicago handed Philadelphia its worst loss of the season just before the All- Star break, but couldn’t duplicate its effort from February 16. The Bulls are also in the hunt for the postseason and trail Milwaukee for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Bulls are 4-2 in their last six games at home and own a 12-15 record as the host this season.
In the season series between Minnesota and Chicago, the Timberwolves halted a two-game losing streak on January 11 with a 99-93 win at the Target Center.
Minnesota has won 11 of the past 13 meetings, but has dropped 10 of its last 15 trips to the Windy City.
