=== Toronto Raptors Team Report - February 19 ===

(Basketball News) - The Toronto Raptors lost their third straight game on Wednesday, as they fell to the San Antonio Spurs, 86-82, on Wednesday at the Air Canada Centre.

Vince Carter paced the Raptors with 22 points, but left the contest with 7:46 remaining in the fourth with an injury. It appeared that Carter landed awkwardly on his left foot as he came down on a jumper. He did not return.

The Raptors also lost center Chris Bosh, who left the game after he re-injured his left ankle in the second quarter.

Alvin Williams netted 19 points for Toronto, which has dropped three straight overall and five of its last seven home games. Donyell Marshall had a solid game with 18 points and 11 boards in the setback.

Toronto held a 58-52 advantage after three quarters and led 71-63 with 7 1/2 minutes to play.

However, the Spurs ran off the next 12 points. A three-pointer by Charlie Ward put San Antonio ahead 72-71 and a three-point play by Malik Rose capped the spurt to make it a four-point game with 3 1/2 minutes left.

Williams scored four in a 7-2 Toronto run that gave the Raptors a 78-77 edge with just 1:20 remaining.

The Spurs then took advantage of the injury depleted Raptors. A trey by Hedo Turkoglu was followed by a Tim Duncan inside basket to give the Spurs the lead for good at 82-78 with less than 30 seconds left.

Marshall has scored in double digits in 19 straight games. He is averaging 17.3 points and 15.8 rebounds in his last four contests. On Tuesday, Marshall pulled down a career-high 24 rebounds in a loss to the Chicago Bulls.

The Raptors are off until Friday when they host Jason Kidd and the sizzling New Jersey Nets.
