Toronto Raptors Team Report - January 31

(Basketball News) - The Toronto Raptors lost to the Detroit Pistons, 90-89, in overtime on Friday at Air Canada Centre.

Vince Carter posted 31 points and nine rebounds for the Raptors, who lost for the sixth time in seven games. Chris Bosh delivered 13 points and 13 assists, while Donyell Marshall contributed 12 points and nine rebounds.

Richard Hamilton capped the scoring for the Pistons, who lost a six-point lead in overtime. His foul shots with 22.6 to go put them ahead 90-89. At the other end, Wallace blocked an off-balance shot by Carter at the buzzer to preserve their victory.

Alvin Williams finished with 10 points for the Raptors, who fell to 13-8 at home.

The Raptors are off until Sunday when they host Gary Payton and the Los Angeles Lakers.
